Jotaid is a note engine or personal knowledge engine: a native Markdown notes app for Mac and iPhone with backlinks, a knowledge graph and iCloud sync. For you: every [[linked]] idea becomes a concept with its own page, and a co-occurrence matrix and trend show which concepts keep meeting. For your agents: on the Mac, Pro runs a read-only MCP server so AI agents can read the projects you choose and explain what they add up to. Free: one fully featured Inbox. Pro: multiple projects and AI.

Hi Product Hunt, I'm Leeron, the independent developer behind Jotaid.
I'd been saving notes for years, and one day realized I could find almost anything but couldn't say what any of it added up to.
Jotaid is a personal knowledge engine for you and your agents. The "for you" part is built around one idea: the useful unit in your notes is the concept, not the document. Write [[a concept]] anywhere and it gets its own page, collecting every note that mentions it. From there:
Trend — when each concept first appeared, grew, and went quiet
Graph — concepts as a network, with Core, Bridge and Emerging roles
Matrix — which concepts keep showing up together, grouped into clusters
Link predictions — pairs of concepts that have never appeared together but share neighbors, computed without AI
Canvas — group note cards into themes, KJ-method style
And underneath, it's a complete notes app: a native Markdown editor with live highlighting and a separate preview (tables, math, Mermaid, code), backlinks, on-device semantic search, fast capture from Quick Note, the iOS share sheet, PopClip and Raycast, and Markdown import and export.
All of that is free, inside one fully featured Inbox that syncs over iCloud. It's a native app for Mac and iPhone, and your notes stay in your own iCloud.
Pro adds multiple projects and AI. The AI runs on your own provider key and calls go straight from your device to that provider. It proposes concepts and relations; you decide what they mean.
That's the "for your agents" part too: on the Mac, Pro can run a read-only MCP server so AI agents on the same machine can read the projects you choose — off by default, reachable only from that Mac.
If you already keep notes in Markdown, you can import a whole folder and keep writing where you were.
I'd love to hear where it breaks for your workflow, and which of these views actually changes how you think.
