🔥 Jot & Paste is a desktop application that makes it possible to jot down a note and paste it to any other app with just a few keyboard clicks.
💡 I came up with this idea while working on another product. From the feedback that users gave me, I found that people are missing a simple notes application that can be opened with lightning speed to either save a note or get a text snippet quickly.
That is how I started crafting this.
So, the main behavior is really simple:
* Ctrl (Cmd) + Shift + Enter - to create a new note
* Ctrl (Cmd) + Shift + L - to show the notes list
✅ Jot & Paste is not just about saving stuff, it also has the following productivity features:
* #tags to sort items into lists
* Multiple paste, if you selected a few items (hold Shift + arrows)
* Emails & Links extractor (hit Space bar)
* Clipboard monitor
* Export to CSV, Google Sheets, JSON, or plain text
* Data synchronization ☁️
👨💻 I used the Electron framework with React library to move rapidly with the development process. And Firebase Auth + Firestore for handling authorization and user data.
So all your data (except the clipboard!) is being synced, and you can continue your work from another computer.
Jot & Paste establishes a new concept of note-taking. And I am open to any ideas and feedback to understand how to build the product that we all want to use!
