JazzValve is built specifically for jazz trumpet. It combines B♭ fingerings, jazz scales, triads, hard-bop licks, and ii–V–I practice in one minimal app. Unlike generic fingering tools, it teaches the actual language of jazz and how to use it musically.

JazzValve came out of a difficult year in my life.
I found myself spending more time alone, and jazz became a quiet place for me—especially Chet Baker. His playing had this calm, intimate quality that I kept coming back to.
Eventually, I bought a trumpet and started learning.
What surprised me was how much I liked the simplicity of it: one note at a time, one triad at a time, one scale at a time. But the learning process itself felt scattered. Fingerings were in one place, jazz scales somewhere else, riffs somewhere else, and most trumpet apps weren’t really built around jazz.
So I built JazzValve.
JazzValve is a focused practice tool for B-flat jazz trumpet. It brings together triads, jazz scales, hard-bop licks, and ii–V–I vocabulary in a simple, visual format that makes it easy to pick up the horn and start playing.
The idea is simple:
Learn the notes. Learn the language. Play jazz.
JazzValve started as something I wanted for myself, and now I’m hoping it can help other trumpet players find their own way into jazz too.
