The notch on my MacBook was dead space, so I started putting things there: today's calendar, the song that's playing, a sticky note. Then it grew: a clipboard line where everything you copy hangs on a rope, a wheel that opens when you shake a file while dragging it, ⌘Space search, an assistant that does Mac tasks you type (without any AI service), its own Dock with a cat living on it, and a lock screen where the clock slips behind the mountain.
