Social investing seems like a nice idea! Few questions: 1) How does the app know who are my friends? 2) Until my friends are onboarded, What is the use of the app for me? I know it's a chicken and egg problem. Congratulations on your launch!

@jitesh_lalwani Hi Jitesh, On Iris, you decide who you want to share your portfolio and trades with. You can make it fully private, just visible to your followers, or fully public. Note that Iris only shares % and not $ so even public portfolios mask data like asset values. Until your friends join Iris, feel free to explore the app, and follow other people's portfolios and build connections with others on the Iris public feed. My portfolios, along with most of our users' portfolios are public. You might see some interesting trade ideas there. Or explore Iris analytics to see what the entire community is buying or selling. Lots to check out but of course, Iris is better when you're talking stocks with friends so please invite them and start a group chat!

Thanks Aditya for the comment. So until my friends join, I could follow other experts. But how do you identify who are my friends in the system? Do you guys follow similar approach like true caller where you copy my contacts on your server and tag them as my friends or I have to manually tag userids as my friends in the app?

I found it on the App Store and it caught my eye because it helps you a lot if you don’t have much experience with trading and buying and selling options, it’s a great app.

Yo this app is sick. I know how to do my due diligence and research stocks, but the users on this app really helped me push my horizons, discover new companies, and make some solid investment choices. Everyone is so collaborative and the Iris tools really give me a ton of transparency and insight into the people who I’m talking to. 100% would not trade options without Iris.
