Ionburst Cloud

Hey Product Hunters 👋 Sophie here, Co-founder of Ionburst Cloud. I’m very excited to share what the Ionburst Cloud team has been working on over the past few months! Today’s launch sees the Ionburst Cloud Platform emerge from Private Beta into General Availability. Ionburst Cloud simplifies data protection for developers, making it easy to build automatic data security, privacy, and compliance into applications with no configuration. With Ionburst Cloud, developers can leverage a consistent security posture for cloud storage across any environment, through a single integration. Automatic encryption with in-built key management, hardened storage configuration and resilience at the asset level are provided by default. Once an Ionburst Cloud region is chosen, all data is processed and stored within that region, to comply with the most stringent data privacy and sovereignty requirements. We built Ionburst Cloud for three main reasons. 1. To bridge the security gap between data and the cloud. 2. So developers and security engineers like us could focus on creating the projects that matter, rather than getting distracted by the repetitive task of setting up and configuring secure storage infrastructure, alongside implementing, and maintaining complex security tools. 3. We believe that data privacy is a human right. We want to provide data-privacy as part of the cloud, not only as a default posture, but as the only posture. The Ionburst Cloud Platform currently offers two private-by-default storage services. 1. IBC Simple Secure Sovereign Scalable Storage Service (S6), our secure cloud object store, and 2. IBC No Key Vault (NKV), our secure cloud secrets store. Our services are currently available in the Dublin (eu-west-1) and London (eu-west-2) AWS regions, with other regions, providers, and multi-cloud deployments on our roadmap. We already have multiple integrations and tools on our GitHub repository https://github.com/ionburstcloud, including detailed technical documentation for our open-source SDKs; .NET, Node.JS, Python, Go, and API. We also have developer tools like the IonFS CLI that provides a selection of useful client-side features, namely large file and object chunking/parallelisation, encryption, and metadata management.
