Most apps focus on what you do. Intent Tree starts with who you want to be. We bridge the "Intent-Action Gap" with a unique 3-tier hierarchy: The Root: Define your identity (e.g., "I want to be a runner"). The Branch: Build the system (I will run 3x weekly). The Leaf: Take the immediate step (Buy shoes, Tuesday 5pm). What’s Unique: Identity-First Logic: Science-backed habit formation. AI Growth Guide: Stuck? AI suggests the smallest next step. Solo-Built: A minimalist, focused experience.

Hi Product Hunt! 👋
I built Intent Tree because I was tired of my to-do lists becoming "graveyards" for my ambitions.
The Problem:
I realized that most productivity tools focus on the output but ignore the identity. I’d write "Get fit," but without a clear link to who I wanted to be and a specific, timed "micro-step," the task just sat there. I was busy, but I wasn't moving.
The Solution:
I wanted to bridge the "Intent-Action Gap." Intent Tree uses a 3-tier system:
Identity (The Root)
System (The Branch)
Immediate Action (The Leaf)
By tying every task to a timed, dated step (like "Buy shoes, tomorrow 5pm"), I finally started seeing my lists clear.
The Evolution:
The core philosophy hasn't changed since day one, but the process evolved when I integrated AI. I realized that sometimes the hardest part isn't the doing—it's the thinking required to break a big goal into a small step. The AI now acts as a coach to suggest those "Leaf" actions when you’re stuck.
As a solo developer, this has been a labour of love to get the "identity-first" logic right. I’d love to hear your thoughts on the flow and how you approach your own goals!
I’ll be here all day to answer questions. What’s the first "Root" you’re planting today? 🌳
