Print a sheet, write one letter per box, photograph it, and get an OTF, TTF, WOFF or WOFF2 font of your own handwriting. inktype straightens the photo, traces every letter and kerns the pairs from their shapes. You can tune size and spacing, add up to three versions of each letter so repeats don't look stamped, and add ligatures. Sheets for 18 languages, Latin, Cyrillic and Greek. Free, no signup, and your scans never leave your device.

I made inktype to turn handwriting into a font. You print a sheet, write one letter in each box, photograph it and upload the photo. The app straightens the photo using the markers in its corners, traces each letter as an outline and kerns the letter pairs from their shapes. Then you export OTF, TTF, WOFF or WOFF2.
It all runs in the browser, so your scans stay on your device. It's free and you don't need an account. You do need a laptop or desktop; it doesn't work on phones.
If you fill in the same sheet two or three times, the font gets that many versions of each letter and switches between them, so double letters look less alike. Each language also has a sheet for joined letters like fi or rz. There are sheets for 18 languages, including Polish, Russian, Ukrainian and Greek.
If a photo doesn't load or a letter traces badly, post it here and I'll look.
