How does the final design get handed off to my tattoo artist, do I get the HD file plus layered versions or just a flat image to work from?
@eypqkxk Great question, and honestly one I should probably surface more clearly on the site.
Right now you get a high-res flat image (HD render, typically 1024px+) that you can download and bring straight to your artist. No layered files — the current output is a single image, not a vector or PSD.
In practice, most artists I've talked to actually prefer this as a reference starting point rather than a locked design anyway. They'll redraw it in their own hand, adjust proportions for placement, and make it theirs. The HD image gives them the concept, mood, and style direction — which is often the hardest part to communicate.
Layered/vector export is on the roadmap, but I want to be honest: it's not there yet. If your artist needs editable files, you'd still need to work with them directly to adapt it.
Curious — has your artist ever given you feedback on what format they actually find useful? I'd love to know what's standard in different shops.
