We built Inherited Property Match because we kept seeing the same problem: someone inherits a property, often during the hardest period of their life, and has no idea how to find a broker who actually understands inherited real estate. Probate timelines, stepped-up tax basis, capital gains calculations, coordinating with multiple heirs, dealing with deferred maintenance on a property you have never lived in. These are not standard transactions, and most brokers treat them like one. We built a free nationwide broker-matching service that connects heirs with vetted brokers who specialize in exactly this situation. Heirs can filter by property type (single family homes, condos and townhomes, investment real estate, vacation and second homes, land and farms) and by location across all 50 states. Every broker in our network is screened for experience handling inherited property sales specifically. I co-founded this with my father after spending time at CBRE and Citi Private Bank, where we saw firsthand how differently estate-related real estate gets handled at the institutional level versus the family level. He has worked in commercial real estate for over 33 years and is the published author of The NNN Triple Net Property Book. We saw a massive gap between how professionals handle estate-related real estate transactions and how most families experience them.
