As a development manager for most of my career of more than two decades, I have been part of many hiring cycles across various organisations and have interviewed hundreds of candidates. So, I know firsthand how time consuming interviewing can be and how much of a drag it is. Most of the engineers don't really like to interview. They would rather spend that time working and not waste hours on preparing for the interview and later evaluating the candidate performance. The conversion rates are also pretty low, easily upwards of 1 in 5. Then there are individual biases that affect the selection decision. There is often no record of what was discussed in the individual interviews and hence no way to make good collective judgement calls. Then there are scheduling problems for the interviewer availability. All this adds up to a lot of frustration, wasted time and resources for the organisation and sometimes lost candidates who could have been a good fit. So, I always wanted to build a solution that could relieve the interviewing teams from taking repetitive interviews and also provide access to interviewing data to everyone in interviewing team which they could review at their convenience. With the advent of Gen AI, this became eminently possible. So, I built Indroid. Indroid is an automated interview platform which is simple and easy to use. All one needs to do create a job profile and provide an candidate email for the interview to be set up. The candidate is sent an interviewing link using which they can attend the interview. The interview is conducted by AI using the pre-defined question banks or using the resume of the candidate. The questions are expected to be answered in around one minute timeframe and a maximum of 10 questions are asked. The candidate answers are transcribed and audio recorded. An AI evaluation report can be generated on demand. Interviewers can comment, collaborate on candidate data and evaluate the responses themselves finally making a selection decision. The candidate can be informed at this point. There are also features to auto generate question banks, job descriptions, provide resume summaries, adding teammates to your organisation etc in the platform. Please note that this idea of making a selection decision based on repetitive conversations applies to all industries wherever people need to be hired. So, this makes Indroid industry agnostic.
