Indie Hackers is one of the few places online that still feels like a real community of builders. The interviews, the transparent revenue numbers, the honest “what worked / what failed” posts, and the high signal-to-noise discussions make it genuinely useful whether you’re just starting or already shipping. It’s the anti-hype zone for indie makers.
• The search and filtering on the forum could be sharper (especially for older posts).
• A better way to discover relevant people/projects by niche or stage would help.
• Some of the older interviews feel a bit dated — more frequent updates or a “still relevant in 2025/2026” tag would be nice.
• Mobile experience of the forum could be smoother.
I looked at Reddit (r/Entrepreneur, r/SaaS, r/indiehackers), Twitter/X, Product Hunt, and various founder Discords. Indie Hackers won because the content is more structured, the community is more intentional, and people actually share real numbers instead of just motivational fluff.
