We built India Biz Data after repeatedly facing the same issue while working on research and outreach projects: Indian company information was fragmented, inconsistent, and often outdated. Basic questions like company activity, industry classification, or contact availability required cross-checking multiple unreliable sources. Our goal was to create a single, structured dataset where company records are standardized, verified, and usable for real analysis—not just surface-level listings. During development, the focus shifted heavily toward data hygiene: validating active websites, normalizing fields, and removing noise that makes datasets hard to work with. India Biz Data is meant for people who rely on accurate company-level data for research, planning, and analysis, and who value consistency over volume. We’re excited to share it and learn how others approach business data challenges in India.
