Independent Analytics

Hey PH, If you have a website, you've probably used Google Analytics (GA), and if you've used Google Analytics, you've probably been overwhelmed by it. While GA is an awesome tool for large companies with data teams, it's overly complex for your average startup or small business. Not to mention, it loads slowly and is illegal in certain regions due to GDPR compliance issues. That's why we set out to make a simple, lightweight, and privacy-friendly alternative. Our solution is Independent Analytics. Independent Analytics loads lightning fast (2kb tracking script), doesn't use cookies (GDPR compliant), and is incredibly easy to use. A major design choice for us was to make Independent Analytics into a WordPress plugin since WP is so prevalent across the web. A major benefit is that its integration with WP enables us to present data from visitors alongside data from WordPress. For instance, you can see your post authors, publish dates, and post categories next to metrics like your Views and Visitors. This makes it easy to do things like view the performance of last month's blog posts, or find the most popular search terms on your site.
