Impala’s Hotel Booking API makes booking a hotel as easy as sending a text message with Twilio or taking a payment with Stripe. Plus, you get rewarded. With every booking you make, you earn up to 15% in seller commission.
@thomas_lo1 Hi Thomas! Thanks for the compliment!
The majority of hotels that are bookable today are in destinations popular with European travellers, so e.g. Spain, Greece, Italy, Portugal, France, LATAM, the UK and so on.
If you're interested in another region (e.g. APAC?) feel free to sign up for an account, and there's an option to add you to a waitlist for the region of your choice – so we'll send you a notification once we have hotels there.
If you already have specific hotels you partner with, we do have the option to bring on specific hotels on-demand to enable you to sell them, in any region.

Fantastic - congrats on a hugely competitive API.
What are your goals for growth? Will you be looking at independent B2C travel businesses within the existing travel sector, travel influencers, B2B providers, side hustlers - or all of these?
Great work again, love this idea, and inspiring for a travel industry which needs all the help it can get right now ;-)
@janecoates Thanks a lot, Jane!
We see ourselves as the rails that enable innovation in travel. For literally anyone who wants to integrate room booking into any app, website or service. No matter how big or small they are as a company.
That might be:
• An indie developer building the sustainable hotel travel website they wish existed, and earning some money with it along the way as a side hustle.
• Or startups building event apps that feature hotels as an add-on.
• An app that focuses on one-tap booking and contactless check-in to bring the effortless experience of an Uber ride to hotel travel.
• A chatbot that helps groups decide where to travel without the decision paralysis.
• An ultra-luxe travel concierge membership club offering hotel stays with unique experiences that are hard to access elsewhere.
All of the above are actual examples from our API early adopters, and I can't even express how excited I am to see what people come up with in the future! 🤩

Congrats on the launch @tobiasurff@charlie_cowley and team 🙌 The possibilities with Impala's Hotel Booking API are endless and will enable so many cool projects. We're planning on trying out an integration with our charity's platform to support unpaid carers in the UK. The impact could be huge!
Thanks, @joeyceunen! Super happy to work with Carefree on this project!

For those who aren't familiar with the travel industry, GDS (global distribution system) is a super clunky outdated software developed 30+ years ago and still powers global travel supply. GDS is the software that sits between third parties (e.g. travel agents) and suppliers (e.g. hotels). In the age of SaaS and APIs this legacy tech should have been upgraded years ago but it's too challenging for the behemoths to pivot and evolve with so much at stake - this is a prototypical innovator's dilemma. Impala is the top contender to reimagine travel supply by connecting suppliers and distributors directly with a viable solution that's growing like crazy. At HotelTechReport.com we're constantly searching for disruptive tech like this and I can tell you it doesn't come often with most travel innovation being iterative rather than 0 to 1. LFG Impala.
Thanks, @mona_erb! Cathie Wood (of ARK Invest) always says "innovation gains traction in times of crisis", and I'm convinced travel will come back stronger than ever, and finally with a technology stack that does is justice. 💪
