I built ImgSimple because most "free" image sites make you upload personal photos (ID photos, documents, family pictures) to a server just to do something small like convert or resize them.
ImgSimple does all the processing in your browser, so your images never leave your device. Three things I'd love you to try:
1. HEIC to JPG: for when a website won't accept your iPhone photos.
2. Compress to a target size: pick 100KB or 200KB for application forms with file-size limits. It lowers quality first and only reduces resolution if it has to.
3. Background removal with on-device AI: it runs an open-source model (ISNet) locally. The first use downloads about 44 MB, which is then cached.
To be transparent: there's no signup and no image data is sent anywhere, but the site uses Google Analytics (page views and basic events, never image content) to see which tools are useful.
Known limits: background removal works best when the subject is clearly separated from the background, and very large images can be slow on older phones.
Feedback is very welcome, especially which tool you'd use again or what's missing.
