ILoveDox is a developer-first document conversion API built to solve one major problem: formatting fidelity. We built ILoveDox after running into the same frustrating problem every developer faces:
Most DOCX → PDF APIs are expensive, and the cheaper/open-source solutions often break formatting, headers, footers, tables, or spacing.
The core issue was rendering fidelity.
LibreOffice is powerful, but it doesn’t always interpret Word documents the same way Microsoft Word does. Some files looked perfect in Word but broke during conversion.
So instead of accepting that limitation, we started identifying the rendering gaps and built an intelligent processing layer around LibreOffice to make conversions behave much closer to Word.
