I wanted to share a side project I've been working on for a while. My name is Alessandro, I’m 15 years old, and I’m super passionate about coding.
Tired of standard platforms and curious about how complex streaming architectures actually work under the hood, I decided to build iCast from scratch.
Key Features included so far:
🎬 Interface & Player: A sleek dark-mode layout with support for long-form videos, categories, and live streaming.
💎 iCast Premium & Monetization: A full subscription system (monthly/yearly) integrated with Stripe to help support creators.
🎈 iCast Points (Gamification): An in-app reward system (daily check-ins, watching videos, interactions) allowing users to redeem free Premium tiers without spending real money.
It’s been a crazy technical journey (dealing with caching on Vercel, backend webhooks, API keys, etc.), but seeing it online and working feels amazing!
I’m still polishing the final details and would love your honest feedback: What do you think of the design and UX? What features should I add next?
📌 Note: To avoid spam filters, I’m not posting direct links here, but you can easily find it on Google by typing ( iwatchicast . vercel . app )
