Bank transfers in Europe are instant and free - but IBANs are 22+ characters nobody can remember. iban.link gives you a short payment page (like iban.link/lisa) with your name, IBAN, and a scannable EPC QR code. Copy the IBAN or scan the QR with any banking app. Prefill amount and reference via hash fragments - payment details never reach the server. Embed a pay badge on your website so visitors can pay you in one click. No tracking cookies. No middleman. Data encrypted at rest (AES-256-GCM).

Hey! š I built iban.link because I was tired of typing my IBAN every time a friend asked to pay me back.
Every bank account in Europe already supports free instant transfers. So why do we still need PayPal or Wero just to send someone money? The only real problem is sharing your IBAN - it's long, hard to remember, and annoying to type. Some payment providers also share your data with up to 600 companies, which feels unnecessary for splitting a pizza.
So I wanted something dead simple: a memorable link, a QR code, done. No extra app, no extra account - just your bank.
A few things I like a lot:
ā Payment details (amount, reference) use hash fragments - they never reach the server
ā All data encrypted at rest with AES-256-GCM
ā No React, no bundler ā just Bun, Hono, and vanilla JS
Try it: iban.link/oliverjanssen#amount=5&ref=ProductHunt ;)
Would love your feedback - what would make this more useful for you?
