Hypar is a simple, intelligent space planning tool that helps design teams create accurate building plans. It visualizes key metrics, enables seamless transition to BIM, and requires no setup—just start designing in 3D with intuitive gestures and suggestions.
Hi PH Community 👋 !
I'm a Product Manager here at Hypar and I'm thrilled to launch the first space planning application focused on the problem of turning complex requirements into space.
A little more about the software:
It’s built for planning. Hypar visualizes critical metrics while you design, enabling better decision making. When you’re ready to take the next step, your project transitions seamlessly to BIM without starting again from scratch.
It’s simple. Hypar is simple to use and simple to get started. There’s nothing to install or configure. Create rich, detailed building models from simple building blocks.
It’s intelligent. Intuitive gestures and suggestions enable you to lay out the most complex spaces quickly and accurately.
It's collaborative. Share and invite others into your project and design and review together.
🚀
This is just the beginning. Have a feature idea? Want to see something else?
We'd love your feedback. 👇🏼

@kat_willis Congrats on your launch day! Wishing you great success and new opportunities. What challenges did you overcome to get here?
Congrats!
Consider removing the account requirement for first visits. Just went to check it out and all there is is a login form-there’s nothing to incentivize users to offer up personal information outside of what is presented here. ❤️

This sounds impressive, @kat_willis! How does Hypar handle scaling when dealing with larger projects? Also, are there specific industries or sectors you think would benefit most from this tool? The seamless transition to BIM is definitely a game changer for efficiency!
@lambert1998 great question! lots of sophisticated instancing/performance work to ensure scaling.
A few sectors we think will benefit: workplace, healthcare, lab planning. Are there others you think might be worth taking a look in?
@kyrylosilin try it and you tell me! (it's not steep at all)

Looks like an interesting tool but I'm wondering if it actually saves time in practice or if the transition to BIM really is as seamless as claimed, also doesnt being too simplistic limit the designers who might need more advanced features, overall I'm curious to see how it holds up in real-world scenarios, any thoughts on this?

Congrats on the launch, looks like a cool tool but honestly, do we really need another space planning software? design teams already use tons of apps, adding another one might just complicate things more, maybe focus on making it integrate well with what's already out there, just my 2 cents.
@noirin_bjorns what sort of apps do you see teams already using?

This tool might save time for some, but I'm not sure it addresses all the complexities of real-world space planning, what about integrating more customization options for unique project needs, and how does it handle collaborative conflicts? 🤔
