Hover over any price on any website and instantly see it in your currency, plus what it means in your life: hours of work, coffees, lunches, or rent — based on real costs in your city. No tabs, no typing. Free: conversion + context + work hours. Premium ($9.99 one-time): savings goals, custom categories, budget alerts. No login, no tracking — all data stays local.

Inspired by a broken "Add to Cart" button
I built this extension because I kept doing the same dumb thing: checking a price on Amazon Germany, opening a new tab, typing "EUR to USD", getting the number, and still having no idea if it was a good deal.
💡 The real question isn't "How much is that in dollars?" It's "What does this price mean for my life?"
Imagine you had just moved to Europe. Every purchase required mental gymnastics: currency, local cost of living, and "is this expensive or just normal here?" We wanted a tool that would give us an answer, not more math.
The first version was just a popup with a number. Then we added coffee comparisons as a joke. Then users told us the coffee comparison was their favorite feature. So we doubled down on context.
The biggest unlock came when we added "hours of work." Suddenly a €1,200 flight wasn't a number — it was 24 hours of labor. That changed purchase decisions in a way exchange rates never did.
Some numbers:
- Free features serve 95% of use cases (conversion, context, hours of work)
- Premium adds goals, custom categories, and budget alerts — $9.99 one-time
- Zero servers tracking you. Your financial data stays in chrome.storage.local
- 8 languages supported
Why I'm nervous-excited about this launch:
I believe deeply in the core idea: prices should have meaning, not just numbers.
Would love your honest feedback. What context would make you understand prices better?
