Horology Studio brings the feel of mechanical watches to your iPhone. Explore original timepieces, customize the dial, case, hands, strap, movement and more, then bring your creation to your Home Screen as a live analog widget. Wind the crown, inspect the movement, set alarms, and make keeping time feel a little more personal.
What became possible in your product with Astra that was not practical before?

Astra made it practical for me to explore and iterate on watch concepts much faster. I could test different dial layouts, materials, finishes, hands, straps, and overall visual directions before spending time implementing them in the app. That made a much broader and more detailed collection of timepieces realistic for a solo developer.

Hey Product Hunt 👋
I’ve always liked mechanical watches — not just for telling time, but for the tiny details: the dial, hands, case, movement, crown, and the feeling of interacting with something carefully made.
That was the idea behind Horology Studio.
Instead of making another clock app, I wanted to build a small digital watch collection where each timepiece has its own character and can actually be played with.
You can customize the dial, case, hands, straps, finishes and movement, wind the crown, flip the watch over to inspect the caseback, and then bring your selected design to the iPhone Home Screen as a widget.
I also added alarms so the watch can be something you actually use throughout the day, rather than just something nice to look at.
This is a solo project, and I spent a lot of time on the small visual and interaction details.
I’d especially love feedback on the watch designs, customization experience, and what kind of timepiece you’d like to see me build next.
Thanks for checking it out! ⌚
