Pick two real NBA rosters and simulate every possession: box score, key plays, the lot. Then play out the full season, run the new 2027 draft lottery, raise a player from age 8 to retirement, or take over a franchise as GM. Free, no sign-up.

Hey Product Hunt 👋
I'm the maker of Hoop Simulator. I kept wanting to answer basketball arguments ("would this team actually beat that team?") with something better than a ratings slider, so I built a possession-by-possession game engine and then kept building on it.
What's in it (all free, no account):
- Game Sim: pick any two 2026-27 rosters, set the starters, and get a full box score, quarter scores and the plays that swung it. Share a link and your friend replays the exact same game.
- Season + Playoffs: all 1,230 games through the same engine in a few seconds, then the play-in and four rounds. Or run 1,000 seasons for title odds.
- Draft Lottery + Mock Draft: the new 2027 "3-2-1" format (16 teams, all 16 picks drawn, the three worst records lose a ball), plus the old 14-team odds to compare.
- Career: start at age 8, pick college or overseas, get drafted in the real 2027 class and play every season next to real players. At the end it tells you whose real season your peak looked like.
- GM: take over any franchise with its real contracts and the real 2026-27 cap and aprons. Ten seasons, an owner who can fire you, and a timeout call from the owner's box when the game is close.
- Trade: 2-3 team trades with the real salary-matching rules, and every team answers yes or no.
How it's built: one engine shared by every page, checked against real league numbers (about 116 points a game, a 36-37% three-point rate, realistic home-court and overtime rates). Rosters and stats update weekly from Wikipedia. Player ratings are our own and shown only as S/A/B/C/D tiers; real per-game stats are shown as they are.
It runs entirely in your browser and saves to your browser, so there's nothing to sign up for.
I'd love to hear:
1. which simulator you'd open first, and
2. any result that looked wrong to you. Calibration feedback from real fans has been the most useful thing so far.
(Not affiliated with the NBA or any team. No league or team logos, just real names and real stats.)
