Hi everyone 👋 I built HooMap to turn CSV & Excel coordinates into interactive maps instantly. As a researcher and web developer, I often work with datasets from sources like eBird, iNaturalist, Movebank, and field surveys. Before doing full GIS or statistical analysis, I usually just need a quick way to inspect the data. Things I often want to do: • Quickly check coordinates • Detect outliers or data entry errors • Understand spatial coverage • Explore distribution patterns visually HooMap is a browser-based tool that lets you upload CSV or Excel files and instantly visualize coordinates on an interactive map. Over time, it evolved to include: • Elevation profiles • Historical weather data • Filtering and data exploration tools • Coordinate editing Everything runs directly in the browser, with no installation or data upload required.
