I'm excited to announce a new (❤️) product as we approach the New Year! 🥳 🥳 🥳 HomTodo is an iOS app that supports collaborative household management. It helps you create personalized and practical cleaning and planning schedules. With HomTodo, you no longer need to choose between a busy life and a clean home. Our app helps you find the perfect balance, providing an effortless solution to keep your living space consistently clean and organized. Our lives can essentially be divided into two parts: half spent in busy work life, and half spent at home. We work to earn a living, while at home we can rest and enrich our inner spiritual world. Nevertheless, our living environment still requires handling many mundane tasks, and planning these affairs reasonably is not an easy problem - it requires considerable thought. Moreover, when you live with roommates or family members, collaboration on household chores becomes particularly important. Household tasks shouldn't be silently shouldered by certain individuals; sharing these responsibilities can better maintain harmony in life. Product Concept: When I started developing this product, I analyzed various household scenarios. Some tasks need to be done daily, like washing dishes and taking out trash - these have strong regularity and are easy to form habits. Other tasks need to be done periodically, such as cleaning the bathroom, changing bed sheets, dusting furniture, mopping floors, replacing dishcloths, cleaning the refrigerator, washing windows, hanging laundry, vacuuming, cleaning rooms, and maintaining furniture. Many tasks have unequal time intervals - some need to be done every few days, some every few weeks, and others every few months. Even if recorded in notes or todo apps, maintaining these tasks can be highly complex. I also discovered an important need: task assignment. For example, in our home, I'm mainly responsible for cleaning the bathroom and kitchen, while my partner handles washing and changing bed linens. We need collaboration and real-time synchronization of task progress, allowing us to know which tasks are pending and which are completed. To avoid reinventing the wheel, I chose iCloud as the data synchronization and multi-user collaboration framework, which also helps protect user privacy. We don't collect any user data in the app; user data is only synchronized to personal iCloud accounts (or shared with collaborators through iCloud sharing). Feature List: - Residence List: Create one or more residences where all planning and tasks occur - Create Plans: Recurring or one-time tasks, divided into daily, weekly, and monthly plans - Task Dashboard: Tasks are categorized into Today's Tasks, Upcoming Tasks, and Archive Records - Reminder Function: Set reminder times when planning tasks to prevent missing them - Residence Sharing: Enable multi-user collaboration mode through residence sharing - Data Backup & Sync: User data is synchronized to iCloud for easy device migration - Planning Overview and Task Dashboard: View overall residence planning distribution and task progress; in collaboration mode, see task completion statistics for different users - Family Sharing Support: One purchase covers the entire family Important Notes: - Multi-user collaboration relies on iCloud support; ensure users have available iCloud space.
