My co-founders, @katyatukka, @sergeitelnov and I, @lvchkgb, are thrilled to introduce HomeScout to the Product Hunt community! ⭐️ The Story Behind HomeScout We recently moved to London and found it extremely difficult to balance working full time with searching for a flat. A few things made the process especially challenging: 1. New listings usually come out during the day, so you have to juggle work and flat-hunting at the same time. 2. The market is very competitive — good flats get snapped up within minutes, so you need to be the first to call the agent, the first to book a viewing, etc. 3. Monitoring Zoopla and Rightmove is a headache, because duplicates are so common. You end up wasting extra time comparing listings just to make sure you don’t contact the same agent twice. 4. Personally, I have a lot of criteria when it comes to flat hunting. Current tools don’t really let you specify them properly, which means you end up scrolling through loads of irrelevant listings just to find the ones that actually match what you’re looking for. All of this led us to build HomeScout - a Telegram bot (for now) that makes flat-hunting a lot easier. You can set filters, pick the areas you’re interested in, and get instant notifications whenever a new matching flat goes live.
