I'm excited to launch HoK Hub — a community-driven companion for Honor of Kings players.
🎯 The Problem:
When I started playing HoK, I struggled to find reliable, up-to-date resources. Existing wikis were incomplete, tier lists were outdated, and there was no central hub for the community. Players were scattered across Discord, Reddit, and random YouTube videos.
💡 What We Built:
HoK Hub brings everything together:
• 111+ hero database with stats, skills, builds & counters
• Community-voted tier lists (real-time updates)
• 1,000+ skin gallery with filters
• Patch notes tracker (every buff/nerf since launch)
• Draft simulator for ranked practice
• Analytics dashboard (win rates, pick rates, meta trends)
• Official OST player (34 tracks)
• Open API for developers
🛠️ The Journey:
Started as a personal scraper to pull hero data from the official site. When I shared it with my Discord friends, they kept asking for more features. 6 months later, we have:
- Community contribution system (100+ user submissions)
- Public API serving 10K+ requests/day
- Mobile-responsive design
- SEO-optimized for discoverability
