Hither turns any App Store link or app ID into one short link (hither.link/) that sends each visitor to your app's page in their own country's App Store, or to the US or another large store if it isn't sold there. iPhone and iPad visitors never hit Apple's "not available" message. No account needed, links never expire, and you can make your link before launch. Open source (MIT) and runs on Cloudflare's free plan, so you can deploy your own copy.

Hi Product Hunt! I made Hither because App Store links carry a country code, so a /us/ link sends people in other countries to the wrong store, or to Apple's 'not available' page. Hither gives you one link that works out the visitor's country at click time and sends them to your app in their own store, falling back to another store when it isn't sold there. It's free, needs no account, and the code is MIT on GitHub if you'd rather host your own. I'd love to hear what you'd want it to do next.
