Curious how the auto-expiring secrets actually work. Are they tied to a timer after copying, or do they vanish once pasted somewhere specific?
@furkan522799 Timer-based, not paste-based.
When you copy something, Historr checks if it looks sensitive (credit card via Luhn, a 6–8 digit OTP, or a long API-key/token). If so, it stamps that item with an expiry = now + your configured minutes (default 2). A timer sweeps every 15 seconds and deletes any expired items.
So it vanishes on a countdown from copy time, regardless of whether you paste it, where you paste it, or how many times. Pasting has zero effect on expiry. (Favoriting an item cancels its expiry and keeps it.)
Finally a clipboard manager that doesn't feel bloated. The sequential paste stack alone changed how I move data between apps, and the auto-expiring secrets are a really thoughtful touch.
@cnurettin33910 Thank you — "not bloated" is exactly what we were aiming for, so this means a lot. The paste stack was the feature we personally wanted every day, and the auto-expiring secrets came from being nervous about card numbers and OTPs sitting in history. Glad both landed for you. 🙌
