Hexavault brings three security tools together in one Android app: a customizable password generator, file encryption, and a secure vault for credentials and files, with optional biometric unlock. Everything works entirely offline. No accounts, cloud dependency, internet permission, ads, or tracking. Just your data, under your control. Built independently with privacy in mind, Hexavault is actively evolving, with secure offline vault backups currently in development.

Hey Product Hunt! 👋
I'm the independent developer behind Hexavault, and I'm really excited to finally share it here.
I started this project because I wanted something a little different from the security tools I was used to. Not everything needs an account, a subscription, or a connection to someone else's servers. Sometimes, I just want to protect my information and know that it stays under my control.
That idea eventually became Hexavault, an Android app that brings together a password generator, file encryption, and a personal vault, all working completely offline.
One decision I made early on was to avoid internet access entirely. The app doesn't even request internet permission, and there are no ads, analytics, or accounts.
Getting to this first public release took months of development, testing, fixing things, and rethinking decisions along the way. I wanted to build something I'd feel comfortable using myself.
Of course, there's still work to do.
One of the biggest things I'm currently working on is secure Vault backup and export. It's something people brought up after the initial release, and I completely agree with them. Having control over your data also means being able to preserve it safely.
I'm taking my time with that feature because I want to implement it properly, without compromising the offline approach. For now, the Vault doesn't offer backup or recovery, so I wouldn't recommend using it as the only place to store important credentials.
What I'd really appreciate right now is feedback.
If you give Hexavault a try, I'd love to hear what you think. What feels useful? What's confusing? What would you change?
Even small suggestions or honest criticism would mean a lot.
Thanks for checking out Hexavault and giving an independent project a chance!
