My daughter and I were inspired by the hexaflexagon videos of ViHart (

), and the story of how these paper puzzles were invented by a British scientist working on the Manhattan Project. This app lets you design your own custom hexaflexagon puzzles. When you are ready, you can print out and make your puzzle. The tri-hexaflexagons are fairly easy and make great birthday cards or photo gifts. For the hexa-hexaflexagons, it's a lot more challenging to find all six faces, and it's definitely a fun way to spend your shelter-in-place.
