👋 Hi Product Hunt! I’m Vikas, the maker of Herwave.
Why I built it
I kept hearing the same thing from women around me in Bengaluru: “I’d go on that trip / take that ride / go to that party… if I knew the people would be safe.” Friends are never free at the same time, solo plans feel risky, and most social or travel apps are open to everyone. So women end up staying home.
Herwave is a women-only app where every member is verified with a live selfie that our team reviews. On top of that verified community, women can:
👭 Women Near You: find women nearby with the same travel vibe and plan trips together
🚗 Share a Ride: women-only carpools for the daily commute or a weekend road trip, splitting the fuel
🎉 Herwave Events: women-only house parties and meetups, with verified guests only
🛡️ Safety Hub: SOS, trusted contacts and check-ins; chat and calls happen in-app, so phone numbers stay private
We’re live on Android (free on Google Play), starting in Bengaluru.
