What inspired us HelloMe started at our family dinner table. My mother, a retired teacher, loved talking to her grandkids, but she never knew when it was a good time to call. She didn't want to interrupt school, practice or homework, so she often didn't call at all. My son said, "Why can't Grandma just see when we're free?" That simple question became HelloMe. The problem we're solving Phones made everyone reachable, but no one knows when to reach out. Calls land at the wrong moment, texts go unanswered, and the people we care about most get lost under feeds and notifications. HelloMe fixes that with one simple color: green for free to call, purple for up for a text, red for heads-down. You share it only with the handful of people who matter. There's no chat, no feed, no ads and no tracking, just a quiet signal that says "now's a good time." How we approached the launch We spent about 18 months building HelloMe privacy-first, then launched on both the App Store and Google Play in September 2026, with a patent pending. Our launch has three tracks: Consumers: a social media campaign with our agency, starting with organic content, then ads and micro-influencers. Press: Austin local, tech, aging and healthcare, and Indian-American media. Organizations: hospice and elder care first, where knowing who's free can matter most. That last track led to HelloMe Live: one link any organization can share so people can see who's free to help and reach them in one tap.
