šŸ‘‹ Hey Product Hunt! I'm Tim, founder of HelloHailey. Thanks to @benln for the hunt! I've been building HelloHailey in public (TheMVPSprint.com) since November 2020 as a solo, bootstrapped Indie Hacker. There was a surge in companies adopting remote work in 2020. Without the serendipitous social interactions you'd get in an office, leaders have had to be more intentional about keeping their teams connected. Most have tried to adapt in-person activities to the remote workplace - Zoom happy hours, online game/movie nights, or virtual "off-sites". Not only do these events increase "Zoom fatigue", but they take a lot of time and effort to organize. Moreover, they're all *synchronous*. Happy hour in San Francisco is late at night in Europe, which is the middle of the night in India. Remote teammates collaborate best *asynchronously*. This is how they'll socialize in the remote office of the future. 🐶 HelloHailey is a Slack bot that connects teammates once a day with asynchronous mini-games, challenges, and conversation starters. There's no setup required; just add it to a Slack channel. šŸ“ˆ HelloHailey's prompts drive real engagement, as evidenced by the fact that it spreads from 1 to 3.5 teams on average within the first month (often within the first week). šŸ’ø ProductHunters get 20% off all annual plans. As long as you create your account *this week* (by June 4), and add HelloHailey to a channel within two weeks, you'll be eligible for the discount. **Try it out with a free 30-day trial, no credit card required.**

My company just switched to remote first and we're still trying to get the hang of things. The social connection we used to have in the office has fallen off a bit. We've been using this and it's been a solid way to get my team talking.
Tim Jones
@mmmmpizzza Glad it's been helpful, Evan! Thanks for spreading it throughout the company :)
Bogomil Shopov - Бого
What makes you different compared to the tons on the similar Slack apps?
Tim Jones
@bogomep Good question! A few things: - It's passive - HelloHailey runs on autopilot, once-a-day. - It's asynchronous - Most apps are focused on real-time interaction, but the best remote teams operate *asynchronously*. HelloHailey is designed to connect teammates across all timezones. - Engaging content - Hailey's personality shows through in her messages. They're not typical "icebreakers". She "@" mentions specific users to make everyone feel welcome.

Love this idea! Everyone is grappling with this issue.
Tim Jones
@ben_ehrlich Thanks Ben! Agreed, it's top of mind for so many people right now.
Monica Lent
Congrats on the launch, Tim! Hailey makes us laugh all the time and get to know each other. I didn't know dogs could be so funny 😜
Tim Jones
@monicalent Glad to hear it, Monica! Yea, Hailey's really one in a million 🐶

Hailey has been with us as we have grown our small team from 1 to 12. As a remote first company, we are always looking for opportunities to deepen our culture and Hailey really helps accomplish that goal. It is always interesting to see what sort of questions end up prompting authentic conversation and deeper connection. Excited to see how Hailey continues to evolve, I have high hopes with Hailey's dad Tim at the helm
Tim Jones
@pdubslax Thanks for the kind words, Patrick! I'm confident that Hailey (and me) can live up to your high expectations.
Jack Forbes
I've been enjoying the Hailey app for the 2 months I've been using it! It's been great getting to know my teammates better through the fun questions the bot asks us. Especially important when we have so many remote folks.
Tim Jones
@thenameisforbes Thanks, Jack! And thanks for your early feedback along the way :)
