Hey Product Hunt,
I built Have You Rested? because I kept running into two boring but annoying Mac problems:
1. I ignore eye breaks until my eyes, neck, and back start hurting.
2. macOS display sleep is never quite right. It sleeps while I’m reading or thinking, but stays on when I actually leave.
So I made a small native Mac menu bar app around the 20-20-20 rule.
The free version includes timed eye breaks, blink/posture nudges, and Privacy Mode.
Pro adds optional camera-verified breaks, focus stats, and display automation: the screen can stay on while you’re looking, turn off when you look away, and let the Mac sleep when you leave.
Privacy was a big part of the design:
- no video recorded
- no screenshots
- no camera frames uploaded
- detection runs locally on the Mac
- the Mac app only contacts my server for license checks and optional updates
I’m launching with a Product Hunt code:
PH40 - 40% off any Pro plan
Would love feedback, especially from people who work long hours on a Mac.

honestly this looks really solid, especially loving the local-first and notarized setup. one thing i'd love to see is a quick "snooze for 10 min" option right from the menu bar dropdown, basically a small escape hatch for when you're in deep focus and a nudge would be super annoying. you could make the snooze length customizable in settings too
In addition, I will add Smart Break in future releases, when the break is snoozed automatically based on your day analytics =)

this looks really well thought out, especially the local-first approach. one thing i'd love is a quick way to customize the break duration per nudge type, like shorter blinks but longer posture reminders, since they feel different in practice. would make it feel way more personal.

@songl7ygi Hey Songül,
Thanks for your suggestion.
The latest version has the Pause from menu bar.
