Hey PH community - so excited to be back with my team at Hashnode for another hunt after a long time. Missed you all! 👀 We’re thrilled to share Hashnode’s journey, from helping developers and companies create blogs to now powering their product and API docs. This was a natural next step for us and one of the most requested features by our community. Docs for Hashnode is everything we wished current documentation tools would solve: - Unlimited UI customization - Build and use custom components - No build time - Team collaboration on docs—not just for developers - An intuitive writing experience like Notion and Google Docs Over the years, we’ve tried many tools at Hashnode. Readme felt restrictive in UI, and Docusaurus was a hassle to maintain and deploy. We think our Documentation tool is the one-stop solution for developers and teams of all sizes. Start with the hosted version, and as your company scales, switch to headless mode for full UI customization. Here are a few things I personally love about this tool: 1. Host multiple guides and API references in one project. 2. One-click API reference playground generation from OpenAPI spec. 3. Go headless and tweak the Next.js + TailwindCSS project to suit your team’s needs. 4. Rich and familiar MDX visual editor. 5. A powerful “Ask AI” search for docs. We can’t wait to see what you do with our new Docs product. Looking forward to hearing your thoughts and feedback!

@fazlerocks Impressive! Hashnode's Docs sounds like a game-changer for developers. I'm curious, what's your favorite feature of this new tool? Have you seen any creative ways teams are using the customization options?

@fazlerocks The moment has come. Would love to see what people build with it. Great work everyone in the team.

@fazlerocks I absolutely love the flexibility of the three formats! • Headless • Hashnode subdomain • Custom domain This really gives developers the freedom to choose what works best for them!

Hey Product Hunt community! 🚀 I am Sandeep, co-founder of Hashnode. 👋 As a blogging platform, Hashnode recently crossed a few milestones like 150M views, 1B+ annual API calls and 10M+ monthly views. From early-stage startups to large communities like freeCodeCamp, many rely on Hashnode to run their publications at scale. While helping individuals and teams build their blogs, we observed a common problem across many dev tools and software companies. Every software company needs a blog and documentation, yet there’s no standard way to create and manage them. Businesses often spend a lot of time and money using different solutions for blogs and docs, which leads to a disjointed experience. If they use a hosted service, they eventually need more customizations and end up building their own. With Hashnode, we’re trying to solve exactly this. You can now manage your blog and docs together using Hashnode, saving time and effort. For example, the team at Outerbase manages both their blog and docs using Hashnode, which is 10x faster and easier than their previous home grown solution. Our new documentation product helps teams build content for their public documentation websites and collaborate easily. It combines Hashnode's powerful editor, dashboard, and custom domain mapping, with an optional headless mode, to create any public-facing API docs or guides. What makes us unique? We're the first to launch with best-in-class GraphQL APIs and an open-source frontend (early preview). This means you get unmatched flexibility and customizations if you outgrow our hosted frontend. Some key features include: - Sync from GitHub or write using Hashnode’s WYSIWYG editor - Custom domain - Headless mode - Subpath installation - Unlimited guides, API references, and custom pages - AI-assisted writing and search at no extra cost - Built-in Algolia search - Best-in-class support for versioning (upcoming) - Built-in analytics and integrations - Realtime collaborative editing - SEO, accessibility, and speed - batteries included … and much more You can check out another Hashnode-powered documentation project in action over here. Everything you need under the resources tab of a dev tool company — blog, docs, or changelog. Hashnode can handle it all and help you grow. We're excited to see how this new product will help you scale your documentation and resources effortlessly. Check it out, and we'd love to hear your feedback! Thanks for your support! 🙌

@sandeepg33k It’d be really nice to be able to create private-facing documentations for internal team members as well.

It really makes sense to have docs as a product. You have already nailed down editor, GitHub integration, custom domain etc. Now all of this integrated into Docs so that tech products can have better docs, this is really a natural graduation of a product. Very excited to check out all features. Of course, you folks have already started a trend of headless.
Florian Fuchs
@hiteshchoudhar We're excited that you see the natural fit of Docs in our product lineup - like we did when designing the product. Can’t wait for you to explore all the features. Thanks for your support! 🚀
