For a long time gay dating apps were the epitome of anonymity, instant access and faceless profiles. Hanky changed all that.
Hanky works by allowing guys to take a selfie directly in the app and share it with the guys around them for 24 hours. This means you’re always looking at completely up-to-date photos. Not only does this give you a much more honest view of who the guys actually are, it also makes everyone much more sincere since it’s obvious you’re talking to real people with real feelings.

As far as I'm concerned, Hanky and Grindr are different concepts. Hanky is geared specifically towards hookups, whereas Grindr is more general purpose - dating, hookups, making friends, networking, etc.
