Hey Product Hunt! 👋 I built Halves because my partner and I couldn't find a shared task app that didn't require constantly opening an app. The insight was simple: iOS widgets are interactive now. So what if the widget was the entire experience? Halves lets you add a task, assign it to your person (amber for you, olive for them), and from there, everything happens on the Home Screen. Tap a checkbox on the widget. See your person's tasks update. Check the streak counter. All without launching the app. Some things I'm proud of: - The retro-flat design (warm cream, sharp corners, vintage stationery feel) — it looks like nothing else - Couple streaks (consecutive days where both of you complete tasks) - End-to-end encryption (AES-GCM) — your task list is between the two of you - Natural language quick-add: type "groceries tomorrow high" and it just works - Solo mode: works great for just you too It's free, no account required (anonymous auth gets you started), and I'm the only person working on it. @leah_dyke Thank you! Honestly we made it for ourselves- me and my wife splitting groceries, chores, household stuff.

But I could totally see it working for two coworkers who share a workload. The whole point is two people, one list and doesn't really matter what the list is about.
