Hi Product Hunt, I'm excited to share Halloy, the latest project I have been working on, together with my good friend. It's called Halloy, an IRC client written entirely in Rust using Iced, the cross-platform GUI library which compiles natively to macOS, Windows, and Linux. IRC is a 35-year-old chat protocol that many people either haven't heard about or have long forgotten in favor of applications such as Slack, Discord, or Teams. IRC differs because it's not owned by a company but rather a protocol that enables real-time text messaging. With IRC, users can choose their preferred client. That's why we decided to build what we believe will be the fastest and best-looking IRC client. Oh, and it is of cause open-source and free.
