Elevate yourself with Habitboard: Track habits effortlessly, and level up your routines! Build the best you. This is the next version of Habitboard that has finally stabilized and has a clear vision for building habits and tracking them.
Since the initial release of the product, I have been reading and evaluating the feedback and reviews of the customers. Based on those reviews I have completely revamped the product in terms of tech and UI accessibility. This change solidifies the future of the product as we can easily scale this in terms of features and platform support.
Now let's talk about some features:
1. Daily & Weekly Habit tracking & Possibly Monthly tracking:
HabitBoard was born from a pure desire to have a better version of myself. Being extremely lethargic I turned to tech to help me stay active and focused. Some habits have less friction when it comes to being incorporated into our daily habits. For eg. Doing a facewash daily or walking after dinner. These are things that may be simple for you based on your lifestyle and you can track them as a daily habit. A daily habit is a quick way of keeping yourself in check.
The other format of habit tracking is weekly habit tracking and this is for the habits that have a lot of friction and take effort to build up. I will explain this with an example, I wanted to start running on a daily basis but given my schedule, it was really hard for me to find the motivation. After a lot of YT research, I figured I would have to make it less hard for me so that my brain could approve of it. I started running 2 days per week. This now allowed flexibility in my schedule, I can just pick any day and go for a run based on my time. Also, I could perform it more than 2 days per week if I feel like it. This is the premise for weekly habit tracking. You can slowly increase the performance count per week to build a full 7-day running habit.
There is another type which currently under review as I am trying to find a fitting use case for the feature and it is called Monthly Tracking. The monthly tracker does the same thing as the weekly tracker but instead of a week, you can incorporate it for a month. Personally, I don't find this useful since the repetition window is large for it be a habit and be more of a task but I do see user demand for it and it will be. released soon.
We do have more habit types that will be released soon such as timer-based habits and simple check off based habits and more are under research and review.
2. Calendar-based tracking system:
Now let's talk about tracking progress in the application and I have gone to the old days here. I feel back when tech had not boomed, our calendars were incredibly powerful. Even today most of our meetings and schedules are based on calendars and HabitBoard also uses a calendar-based design to track your progress for an app. This gives us better clarity for the work that we put in and we also stay accountable when we see those missed slots on the calendar.
It has taken me a lot of time to come to a design that clearly indicates a missed week, a missed day, and a completed day in the product.
3. Future Improvements:
HabitBoard has a lot of improvements and features planned out for the horizon and we are continuously pushing towards the goal of becoming the best habit tracking application in the market. Here is a sneak peek into the future:
- Home screen widgets
- Routines (atomic habits put together so they are easy to complete one after another)
- Breaking bad habits
- Performance overview and stats
- Challenges and group engagements
- iOS support and desktop support
- Server Backups
and many more features and plans and we are slowly taking steps towards building them all out. Do check out the application and let us know what you think about it, it is completely FREE. Please also leave a rating on the Play store if you are an active user as it helps with our credibility.
