Gymopol

I’ve been lifting for over 13 years. One day in mid-2024, as I was heading home from a workout, I saw a woman running past me — and it hit me. Unlike social activities, runners and others who train alone don’t really have an offline community. No easy way to find motivation, get support, join challenges or events, find training partners, or even make friends. But then I thought — do we really have strong communities even when it comes to social activities? Not really. There are still a lot of limitations. Think about it: You don’t want to interrupt someone’s training — and everyone’s limited on time. Locker rooms are gender-separated. You only go to one or two gym locations, and you rarely meet new people. You end up interacting with the same few gym buddies. And... we made Gymopol — a location-based community-based social platform that automatically connects you with other members near you as one community in a flat structure. In other words Gymopol is a digital version of a physical gym or sport-center where all interactions happen online with people who are located nearby and can be reached in real life. Amazing right? This means you can start in the form of online interaction and in the end end up meeting your fellow Gymopol buddies as training partners, friends or even fitness dates. Or the other way around.
