Gym & Tonic turns “I should probably work out” into a week you can actually follow. Plan sessions, follow guided workouts, record reflections, explore practical meal ideas, and see your consistency improve. Its WebMCP coach can understand your week and propose changes, but you approve every one. Everything stays in your browser, works offline, and requires no account.
What became possible in your product with Astra that was not practical before?

Astra turned Gym & Tonic’s coach from a chat box into something that can understand and work with the actual product. It can inspect the user’s live weekly plan, preferences, completed workouts, history, equipment, and training balance through WebMCP tools. It can then propose a session, clear a slot, swap workouts, or rebuild a week around real-life constraints.
Before this, users would have to describe their entire schedule manually, copy a generic answer, and recreate it inside the planner. With Astra, the reasoning and the product stay connected. The important bit is that Astra still does not take control. Every change appears as a clear proposal that the user must approve or reject. Even the AI has to ask nicely.

Hey Product Hunt,
I built Gym & Tonic because I was tired of fitness apps making exercise feel like another full-time job. Sometimes you do not need a perfect programmed, ten dashboards, or a guilt-inducing notification. You just need to know what you are doing today.
Gym & Tonic helps you plan a manageable week, follow each workout, reflect quickly, and notice the quiet proof that you are showing up.
The part I enjoyed building most is the WebMCP coach. It can inspect your week, spot gaps, and suggest sessions, but it cannot quietly rewrite your plan. Every change waits for your approval. Even the AI has to ask nicely.
The app is local-first, works offline after the first visit, needs no account, and is fully open source.
I would love to hear where the experience feels smooth, where it feels confusing, and what would make you genuinely return next week.
