Guita is a guitar tuner designed for visually impaired users. Unlike visual-only tuners, it provides voice guidance and sound cues for accurate tuning by ear. The app also features over 600 guitar chord fingerings with accessible navigation optimized for screen readers. Built with Flutter for Android and iOS, Guita ensures consistency, clarity, and ease of use for blind and low-vision musicians.

I built Guita after realizing how inaccessible most guitar tuner apps are for blind and low-vision musicians. Nearly all popular tuners rely heavily on visual meters and color indicators, making independent tuning difficult without assistance. I wanted to remove that barrier.
From the beginning, I designed the app around audio feedback and full VoiceOver/TalkBack support. Instead of adding accessibility later, I structured the interaction model around voice guidance, clear sound cues, and logical focus navigation. During development, I expanded the scope to include over 600 chord fingerings so users could tune and learn within one accessible environment.
What started as an accessible tuner evolved into a fully inclusive guitar companion built with accessibility-first principles.
