🚀 Hey Product Hunt! I'm Felix, co-founder of Grouphug.
We're super excited to launch Grouphug today — Grouphug is like a notetaker for your Whatsapp groups.
A big part of our online life is happening in Whatsapp groups these days: From organising get-togethers to parent groups of investment advice: Groups are useful but can be noisy and hard to follow.
Grouphug follows your groups and automatically creates useful companion pages.
Summaries so can easily follow large noisy groups
Itineraries. Ideally for those weekend planning and wedding groups
All the fun stuff taht make your group your group, like most memorable quotes, roasts, personality tests and more.
Pro Tip: Don't miss out on the memes for your group! In closed beta this was the crowd favorite.
If you loose control of your WhatsApp groups (who doesn’t?), Grouphug helps you to stay on top of things with a nice end even entertaining (memes!) visual summary of what’s going on in each group.
Interesting, you've got all that history in there. Why only engage with it a line at a time?

@kevin_mcdonagh1 We are ingesting the whole chat, when people export and send it to us. We are ingesting each new message if the bot is in the group. But we always take the full context of the conversation into account for creating the content.

@kevin_mcdonagh1 We don't. We always take the full context into account. Only with very long chat histories we concentrate on the last x Hundred messages i.e. for the updates.
@fiahless Yes that's what I mean, you are the added context when others are looking at a chat they on;y see the last line. There are app opportunities in the entire context of whatsapp conversations.
This tackles a real pain point, trying to catch up on active WhatsApp groups is exhausting. How does the AI handle context when conversations jump between topics quickly? @fiahless

@rachitmagon If you have a large enough context window it handles context switches.
Everybody loved the memes but now Grouphug does so much more:
Live Groups allow you to add Grouphug to a group like any other member and it will automatically stay on top of what's happening.
Itineraries for your groups so you never miss the next important date.
Lot's of great new fun features like roasts, quotes and quiz.

It's super nice to actually bring some structure into my WhatsApp groups. The location features work well and the memes are fun and spot on.
My group chats were honestly a mess before this - constantly scrolling to find info or figure out what was happening. This actually brings some organization to the chaos.
The features I love the most are the locations and honestly the memes add a surprisingly fun touch.
Super interesting product if your group chats are as disorganized as mine were.
