My Developer Friends! I’m excited to share Groceriesmate with you. This idea came from a simple problem I encountered myself: keeping track of grocery lists. Paper lists get lost, texting lists gets messy, and someone always forgets something. So, I built Groceriesmate—a web app where you can create and share grocery lists that everyone can access anytime. What’s cool about it? I’ve kept it simple but added a nifty AI feature that I think you’ll love. When adding a product, you can set how long it typically lasts in your home (e.g., "1 week for milk"). Once that time is up, Groceriesmate will automatically re-add the product to your list—so you never forget the essentials. Imagine your grocery list basically managing itself while you focus on other things. No more surprise "we’re out of coffee" moments! How does it work? 1. Create a family group – Everyone in your household can join and access the shared list. 2. Add products – Fill out details like brand (optional), quantity, and how long the item typically lasts. 3. AI kicks in – When the duration runs out, the app automatically reminds you by adding it back to the list. Why is there no mobile app yet? I chose to build Groceriesmate as a web app first because it’s faster and easier to deploy and improve. This approach allows me to gather feedback, ensure the core features are valuable, and refine the experience before investing in mobile app development. Once I see that it’s working well and being used, I’ll roll out a mobile app to make it even more accessible! Right now, Groceriesmate is in its MVP stage, so I’m really looking forward to hearing your thoughts and improving it further.
