I have been looking all over for an app like this :) I noticed a few of the same bugs that people have reported about the syncing error, and it's cool that you were working on an update to fix it. Something not as big, but still weird was that on an iPhone 7 the "How to use?" screens' text are cut off at the bottom. I can send a vid to show you what I mean if you want. Thanks for making something like this and congrats on the great feedback about it!

@quinnballard I hopefully discovered those bugs in the code, and I'm creating a new build right now... Hang on for the next version :) The onboarding screens will be fixed as well. Nice to hear that there is demand for this idea :)

@heikkimantere Awesome – I just updated and all seems to be working. Have you considered hiding/minimizing the "Non-repeating items" list so it doesn't take up as much space? Either way, it's a really cool app that I'm looking forward to using.

Excellent idea! The cloud syncing is a bit of a trouble, I’ve got several resprings of the interface while adding items. Also, I couldn’t find any option to set up a repeat duration, as presented in the guide. Cheers!

@utestme What do you mean with "resprings"? What happens exactly? The repeat interval will be automatically set up as you complete the same item again. Once set, you can adjust it (if needed). Maybe the onboarding could clarify that... Thanks for noting!

@heikkimantere Every now and then the app refreshes: while input new items the intro splash screen breaks in, it flickers for couple of seconds, then my list re-appears. This happened some 5-6 times already.

@utestme I’m really sorry for the bug. Thank you for pointing it out! I'll try to fix it asap. In the meantime you can go to "Account > Log out" to prevent cloud sync errors.

Hi Heikki It would be cool if the app gave me the option of a pre-made "loadout" of common groceries like eggs, bread, avocados etc that I could just adjust. Or a nice list of popular items I could tap to select. Also, small nagging UX thing: It's kinda annoying to hit "Save Changes" after every Auto-repeat toggle. I would kinda expect it to just save dynamically when I flip the toggle, adding an extra tap seems redundant. Overall, I'm curious how you would position this app against all the many existing list apps out there. What do you feel is the killer feature? I already use Things for my groceries app, what would be the incentive for users to add yet another app icon to their screen? Good work overall

@romankrem I thought of preset items... But I don't know what you're buying and in which language. That "save changes" is a good point. It's there to prevent accidental changes, but I might consider removing it 🙂 Read my earlier long answer above for the killer features. There are some laws that apply to groceries only, and not just any "Things" 😉 Mainly their repeating nature.

Pros:

Its replaced my all other to-do apps, for groceries. I like the design and the feel to it.

Cons:

It first I didnt understand how to change the repeat settings, its all clear to me now.

Feels like it's 1 or 2 releases away from being ready to launch.

Pros:

Phenomenal idea with simple UX that should work great

Cons:

The app is completely dysfunctional. It keeps reloading itself. I can't swipe anything.

"The app is completely dysfunctional" -> Is this when you logged in and tried to sync to the cloud? I just found a stupid bug that makes that app unresponsive in those cases. Go to Account -> Log out, and it should work. I'll upload a fix to the bug right now :)

Hi @hellotom It works best with groceries for a reason: I can't think of any other domain where you complete the same items over and over again. The main idea in this app is that items get automatically added to the todo list based on their frequency. Manual sorting is not possible at the moment, because the list sorts itself smartly. The order of items is based on their previous completion order. The main difference between this and Clear (or any else app) is those features :)
