GreenRah is a heat-smart walking map for hotter cities. Instead of sending you only on the fastest path, it compares sun, shade, weather, slope, and thermal comfort to help you choose a cooler, gentler walk. See shade ahead, compare route comfort, find drinking water and public toilets, and choose accessible paths with easier slopes. Built for commuters, visitors, families, older adults, and anyone who feels city heat first. Starting in EU and GB.
Hey Product Hunt 👋
I’m Yousef, the founder of GreenRah.
GreenRah began with a simple problem: in a hot city, the shortest walking route is often not the most comfortable one. Two nearby streets can feel completely different depending on the sun, building shade, trees, slope, and time of day.
Most navigation apps optimise mainly for speed. GreenRah helps you consider comfort too.
It is a heat-smart walking map that helps people compare city paths using live weather, sun position, building and tree shade, terrain slope, and thermal comfort. You can also find useful places along the way, such as drinking water, public toilets, and trees. The first version starts with EU & GB.
I built GreenRah for anyone who feels urban heat first: people visiting a city, older adults, families, people with limited mobility, and everyday walkers who want a gentler way to move. This is GreenRah v1, and I am very early in the journey. I would really value your honest feedback:
Would you use a heat-smart walking map in your city?
What would make you trust a “more comfortable” route?
Which city should GreenRah support next (now we cover whole EU & GB)?
What feature would make this essential for you on hot days?
Thank you for taking a look, and for helping shape a cooler way to walk.
