I’ve always loved looking up fun facts about the world around me (did you know Armadillos are bulletproof?!) but when looking up facts about climate change there were very rarely fun ones...⁠ ⁠ That’s a bit why Greenr was born. Allowing you to measure your carbon footprint and get personalised tips and tricks to reduce it. We then decided to take it further and create an app and web analytics platform to help businesses achieve their net-zero goals by motivating and rewarding their employees for their sustainable behaviours.   📊 How does Greenr help businesses? The world needs to meet the Paris Agreement Goal of limiting global warming to 1.5C. In terms of carbon emissions this translates to a yearly carbon footprint of 2 tonnes per person from a current UK average of 12 tonnes per person. Greenr helps you get there.   Businesses are only as good as their employees, and we know that by motivating workforces to be more sustainable we can reduce carbon emissions at source.   ❓How does Greenr work?   Greenr is providing businesses across the UK with a climate companion app for their employees to help in the fight against climate change. We do this through gamified pledges and competitions tailored to your organisation’s climate goals.   Signing up to Greenr couldn’t be easier and enables people to reduce their impact on the planet by: • Tracking their daily meals and travel to gain a clearer idea of their current carbon footprint • Learning how to reduce their carbon score • Finding information about carbon offset projects • Competing with friends and colleagues in weekly challenges and sharing ideas about how to develop more sustainable habits • Collecting points and earning rewards for making greener choices   The results from our current B2B users have been overwhelmingly positive in helping them engage and educate their employees in order to measure, manage and reduce their carbon footprint.   Greenr is uniquely positioned as the social, fitness (Strava/Fitbit), wellness (MyFitnessPal) of carbon calculations for organisations through our mobile app and interactive web dashboard.   🥇Did you say rewards?   You bet! It's a great way to track and offset your carbon footprint, especially for SMEs who want to showcase their green credentials.

Super handy app! This is definitely something that will transform and upgrade conscious journeys in the future. Speaking of conscious journeys, I would like to know if the app accurately tracks and offsets the carbon emissions from air travel?

It's really cool to actually know what my footprint is! I think that this app puts a lot of larger discussions around tonnes of CO2 saved into context and by gamifying the whole experience of reducing our emissions it definitely is part of the longer term solution!
