Congratulations on launching Greengage! In today’s world, having tools that enable people to observe, record, and contribute toward real local change is critical. Whether in urban settings or rural areas, the ability to join citizen observatories can help communities tell their environmental stories. I hope many people engage and make a difference.

Greengage is exactly the kind of tool I’ve been hoping to see—turning everyday walks, commutes, and local observations into real data that drives environmental change. Letting citizens contribute photos, tracks, or surveys to local observatories is a powerful way to connect people with their environments. Kudos to the team for building this.

What stands out about Greengage is its flexibility: you can participate in missions by surveys, photos, or optionally “track me” mode to log your route and transport mode. The ability to join local observatories and choose which data you share makes it more trustworthy. If you add visualization dashboards showing how your data contributes, this will be even more compelling.

I often notice potholes, broken sidewalks, or green patches in my neighborhood—but never had a way to report or see patterns. Greengage seems like it will let me turn those observations into something useful. I’m excited to walk around with purpose, knowing my little inputs could help map change.

From a UX perspective, Greengage must balance simplicity (for casual users) with depth (for power contributors). The interface for taking photos, answering surveys, toggling “track me” mode, and viewing missions should feel intuitive and low-friction. If editing or managing mis-captures is easy, I think users will feel empowered, not frustrated.
