Grayscale is a Safari extension that turns the web black & white so you can browse with less visual stimulation. It works on Mac, iPhone, and iPad. Unlike full blockers, it keeps the web usable while making distracting feeds, thumbnails, and colorful interfaces feel calmer. You can enable grayscale globally, then whitelist the sites where color still matters. Built for people who want a lighter, more intentional browsing setup without changing their entire workflow.

I like this idea a lot.
Most blocker-style tools feel a bit too aggressive for me. Sometimes I don’t want to fully block a site, I just want the web to feel less loud while still being usable. Turning everything grayscale is a simple but clever middle ground. The whitelist option also makes sense, because there are definitely sites where color actually matters.
One (important) question: are you planning to bring this to other browsers too? I’d personally love a Firefox version. :))

@andrasczeizel Thanks a lot, really appreciate it :)
The goal was to make a simple tool that adapts to different ways of using the web, without forcing a strict setup.
And yes, why not! I’m considering bringing it to other browsers like Firefox and Chrome too. It’s definitely something I’m thinking about.
@ena1li I’d love to see the Firefox and Chrome versions here on PH as well, once they're ready! :))
